Speech Therapy Theme: February (Valentine’s Day, Winter)

Ideas for fun and amazing February Speech Therapy!

My favorite theme for speech and language therapy in February is Valentine’s Day! I have lots of ideas for books, read alouds, songs, child led play, toys, and games to use with this fun theme.

Lesson Plan

Grab this Lesson Plan Page filled with links to freebies, toys, books, read-alouds and more! This works well for preschool and early elementary students.

Therapy Ideas

In February, I love to use art activities, book companions, and games in child led play as much as possible. When structure is needed or helpful, I include this as well. We make valentines, color pictures, and do dot art!

There are so many language opportunities for both analytic and gestalt style of language development when making cards or doing crafts!

Favorite Books

I love using book companions with my favorite Valentine themed books.
