Common Core Standards Noted for Kindergarten Reading.The digital file does not include audio, but is designed for reading and singing with children, open-ended play, and guided instruction.
This interactive digital e-book includes 4 parts:
1) Preteach Vocabulary: core language words, vocabulary from the story, and other terms can be taught prior to reading the story. Sentence strips for expanding utterances, interactive pieces, and lots of language opportunities.
2) Read the Story: takes you through the classic nursery rhyme
3) Open-ended Play: bedroom, doctor’s office
4) Questions (differentiated into two levels: Level 1 with 2 picture choices, Level 2 open ended with typing option)
Directions:
Click on the activity you want to do. Click on the ‘Bed” within each page to go back to the main page. In the book, click the arrows to go forward or backward. Use the Open-ended Play and Answer Questions buttons for open ended language instruction, identifying basic concepts, making choices, targeting core language words, answering questions, etc.
