Favorite Books for May

Normally I’d move on to gardens, bugs, and warm weather books…but this year it has rained continually! We’ve been having a lot of fun with “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring”.

At the beginning of May, many students are having fun with Cinco De Mayo. We love using Dragons Love Tacos and the new sequel…Dragons Love Tacos 2!

You can find a fun digital boom card book companion here.

Articulation Games:

Dot Art is one of my favorite ways to get a TON of trials in for articulation practice. We use magnetic bingo chips first, then dot markers to get double the practice. Once we’re done….I send it home and they have an easy peasy practice sheet for home. Kids are thrilled to share their artwork and their parents like to see what we’re doing so they can practice at home.

These are brand new this year! Just in time for May, you can grab Memorial Day and Mother’s Day Dot Art pages! The Memorial Day pages can be recirculated for any patriotic holiday…like Labor Day. The Mother’s Day version comes with a “Speech is Blooming” set that you could use throughout spring. Take a peek and snag these….you won’t regret it!

We used the moose for sorting, fine motor practice, describing, and guessing what was missing when we hid one of the pieces! This pairs perfectly with Moose on the Loose!
